Cali Cards is a design company that creates a breath of beautiful and and original handmade stationary products to suit any personal or corporate occasion. Corporate events, Retirements, Weddings; to include save the dates, bridal showers, invitations, programs, menus, table numbers, favor tags and place cards, Birth announcements, Christenings, Baby showers, Party invitations, Bat/Bar Mitzvah announcements, Graduation announcements, holiday cards and even custom pet cards.
Design. The design process begins with a complimentary consultation either by email, phone or in person. This initial meeting gives us an opportunity to get to know you, your personal style and any ideas you may already have. It is also a time to answer any questions you may have about Cali Cards' commitment to branding your journeys through life in a creative and unique way.
Cali Cards is all about keeping the process fun and simple! Once your project details are determined, we will prepare a price quote based on your project requirements and you will be provided with a contract that identifies the total cost and estimated time schedule for the project. Please note that the design will only begin after we have received a signed contract and a payment of 50% of the total estimated cost.
Final Approval. Cali Cards will present an initial design for your review. We will discuss the design and any changes you may wish to make. Once the changes are integrated, the design will be submitted for your final approval. If no other changes are required and the design is perfect, a signed copy of the Final proof must be emailed or faxed back with your signature. This signature verifies that every detail is perfect: the layout, typestyle, spelling, grammar and punctuation. Once approved, Cali Cards is not responsible for any future changes or mistakes.
Production. Production will begin upon receipt of the signed Final Proof and the remaining 50% of the invoice. All of Cali Card creations are professionally printed and each invitation is meticulously assembled. Upon completion we will contact you to pick up your order, mail it for you using our "white glove service" or have it shipped to you via UPS.
Timing. Due to the fact that all Cali Card creations are hand crafted, the entire process can take anywhere from 2-6 months depending on the complexity of the design. We can create a design within a month, however a rush fee will be charged. So it is important to book your consultation as early as possible. Remember, most wedding invitations are mailed 6-8 weeks prior to the celebration so it is best to contact us at least 6 months prior to your event. Note that silk items take 4-6 weeks to be made and delivered from overseas, which does not include Cali Cards design and assembly.
Mailing Service. Cali Cards provides a “white glove service” for its clients. This is just one more step that we can do to make it easier for you. We will mail out the invitations for you, saving you the cost of shipping the completed invitation to you as well as saving you time and the hassle of having to mail them yourself.
Pricing. Because all Cali Cards creations are custom and hand crafted there are many factors that impact the price. Silk boxes, paper, print options, quantity and embellishments all play a key role when pricing your designs. Please contact Cali Cards for further information.
Location. The Cali Cards process allows you access from any location. However, if you are a Cali girl, we have offices located in San Diego and Sacramento, California. We can easily make arrangements to meet you.
Refunds. All of our products are custom designed and hand crafted to your approval and refunds will not be honored. In the event of cancellation, all costs incurred to date are billable. A $75 per hour design fee will apply.
Printing Types Offered. Letterpress, offset, thermography, foiling, engraving and embossing.
Silk Boxes/Pouches. There are over 100 silk colors to choose from when creating your silk box/pouch invitations. The boxes come in the standard sizes ranging from 6x6x1 to 7x9x1, however custom sizes can be created to your liking.
